Skip hire around Cabarita
Ask a local and they'll probably call it Cabarita, but officially much of the town is Bogangar. One suggestion is that the name Bogangar means 'a place of many pippies'. The township wraps around Cudgen Lake and Norries Headland, and about 3,300 people lived in Bogangar at the 2021 Census.
Choosing the spot
About 64% of homes are houses and 27% are townhouses. With your own driveway, the skip can go there with no approval needed. In a complex, the body corporate gets the final say on common property.
Sizing up beach blocks
Homes east of Tweed Coast Road sit on a narrow strip of land by the beach, so space can be tight. A 3m³ skip is about 2.4 metres long and a 4m³ about 3 metres. Measure before you book.
If the street is the only option
A skip on the road, footpath or nature strip needs Tweed Shire Council's approval to place a skip bin in a public place, and there's a fee. You'll need to arrange it. Our bookings use Queensland time, which is an hour behind NSW in daylight saving.

Common questions
How soon can I get a skip in Cabarita?
It can, as long as you book by midday. Our minimum notice is 36 hours. You choose an AM or PM preference at checkout, set in Queensland time.
Do I need council approval in Bogangar or Cabarita?
Yes, when the bin sits on the road, footpath or nature strip. That needs Tweed Shire Council's approval to place a skip bin in a public place, with a council fee, and you're the one who arranges it. Driveways and yards need nothing.
Which bin for a backyard clean-up?
If it's all garden material, a Green Waste bin. If it's mixed with household rubbish, choose General Household. Soil needs its own Dirt bin, no bigger than 4m³.
Can I cancel if my plans change?
Yes. Cancel more than 48 hours before delivery and there's no fee. Inside 48 hours, a $50 cancellation fee applies.
