A skip for every corner of Bundall
Picture Bundall with Southport Racecourse at its centre, the Nerang River curving around the south and Slatyer Avenue along the top. It's a suburb of houses first. Roughly three out of four homes were separate houses at the 2021 Census, and townhouses made up most of the remainder. Add a pocket of commercial buildings and you get skip jobs ranging from a bathroom update to an office strip-out.
Sorrento's waterfront streets
Sorrento, down in the southern part of Bundall, started out as a Nerang River canal project. It produced roughly 800 waterfront blocks plus about 400 dry ones. When your house backs onto the canal, the skip has to go at the front, normally on the driveway. Give the truck enough space to line up, and make sure the bin sits clear of the footpath. A whole-house renovation in Sorrento typically means a 6m or 9m skip.
The older north around Slatyer Avenue
In the 1950s the Bradbrook family farm was carved up to create the streets around Slatyer Avenue. That avenue is one of eleven in the area named for young men who lost their lives serving in World War II. Homes in established pockets like this tend to need new kitchens, bathrooms and floors, along with the odd garden clean-up. The 4m, our most popular all-rounder, is a sensible starting size. Before you load, put aside any asbestos, tyres or batteries, as no bin can take them.
Office and commercial jobs
Bundall's offices and commercial buildings are clustered west of Bundall Road, on the northern side of Ashmore Road. Strip-outs, fit-outs and general business clean-outs are the usual commercial jobs. Skip size comes down to floor area and how much space the site has, and bigger strip-outs may call for a 9m or even the 15m hook bin. With the property manager's okay, the rear service area or car park usually makes a handy spot. Choose AM or PM when you book so the drop-off suits your trading hours; it isn't a guaranteed time.
When council gets involved
A skip kept on your own land needs no permit. Put it on the road, footpath or nature strip, though, and the City of Gold Coast requires one. Arranging it is your job, and you carry full responsibility for it, since EZI Skips doesn't organise permits. A private business car park counts as your own land too, so it's permit-free as long as the owner says yes.

Common questions
How soon can a skip be dropped off in Bundall?
As early as 36 hours after you book. Get your online booking in before 12 noon and the bin can reach Bundall the following day. You choose the date and an AM or PM preference, but the preference isn't a fixed delivery time.
Does a skip on a Bundall street need council approval?
Yes. Any skip on the road, footpath or nature strip requires a permit from the City of Gold Coast, and it's up to you to arrange it and take responsibility for it. Skips on your driveway or in a private car park are within the property, so no permit is needed.
Which skip size suits a Bundall office strip-out?
That depends on the floor area and the room on site. A larger strip-out may need a 9m skip, which holds roughly 36 wheelie bins, or the 15m hook bin at around 60. Check with the property manager where a bin can go before you book, and make sure the truck has space to drop it.
Can soil and concrete go in my Bundall skip?
They can, within limits set by weight. Dirt goes in bins up to 4m³, and concrete or clean rubble in bins up to 6m³. If your job has more heavy waste than one bin can take, phone 1800 462 674 and it can be split across bins. That's arranged by phone only.
